me fui a caminar bajo el sol...

I went for a walk under the sun...

me daba la brisa del mar...

The sea breeze hit me...

la arena senti al caminar ...

I felt the sand as I walked...

mirando de aqui para alla...

Looking from here to there...

buscaba con ansia en el mar...

I eagerly searched in the sea...

aquella chica que en verdad...

That girl who truly...

quisiera conmigo nomas...

Would want to be with me...

de pronto que....

All of a sudden...

senti como si perdiera...

I felt as if I were losing...

la respiracion al verla...

My breath when I saw her...

pues era lo que imagine....

Because she was what I had imagined...

de pronto el mar...

All of a sudden, the sea...

rugio como si supiera...

Roared as if it knew...

que queria conocerla...

That it wanted to meet her...

y nos atrapo en su red...

And it caught us in its net...

le dije vamos a pasear..

I said, let's go for a walk...

te invito a comer o a cenar...

I invite you to lunch or dinner...

me mira sonriendo y se va...

She looks at me, smiling, and leaves...

me deja sentado en el mar...

When I turned...

para seguirle insistiendo...

me quede un poco perplejo...

pues no la mire partir...

golpea otra vez mi rostro...

despierto y me encuentro solo...
