Salmo 8

Cuando veo tus cielos,

When I see your heavens,

obra de tus dedos,

work of your fingers,

la luna y las estrellas

the moon and the stars

que tú formaste

that you formed,

digo: ¿que es el hombre,

I say: What is man,

para que tengas de el memoria,

that you should think of him,

y el hijo del hombre para que lo visites?

and the son of man that you should visit him?

Le has hecho poco menor que los angeles

You have made him a little lower than the angels;

lo coronaste de gloria y honra,

you have crowned him with glory and honor,

le hiciste señorear

you have made him ruler

sobre las obras de tus manos;

over the works of your hands;

todo lo pusiste debajo de sus pies:

you have put everything under his feet:

ovejas y bueyes, todo ello,

all sheep and oxen,

y asimismo las bestias del campo,

and also the beasts of the field,

aves de los cielos y los peces del mar,

the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,

todo cuanto pasa por los senderos del mar.

all that passes along the paths of the sea.

¡Oh Jehová, Señor nuestro,

Oh Jehovah, our Lord,

cuán grande es tu nombre

how great is your name

en toda la tierra!

in all the earth!
