Dame oh señor,

Give me, oh Lord,

Un hijo lo bastante fuerte

A son strong enough

Para saber cuándo es débil

To know when he is weak,

Y lo bastante valeroso

And brave enough

Para enfrentarse consigo mismo

Cuando sienta miedo.

When he feels fear.

Un hijo que sea orgulloso e inflexible

En la derrota honrada,
