De tres hermanos, el más grande se fue

The eldest of three brothers went away

Along the path to discover and to found

Y para nunca equivocarse o errar

And to never make a mistake or err

Iba despierto y bien atento a cuanto iba a pisar

He walked awake and attentive to every step

De tanto en esta posición caminar

Walking in this position so much

Ya nunca el cuello se le enderezó

His neck never straightened again

Y anduvo esclavo ya de la precaución

He walked enslaved by caution

Y se hizo viejo, queriendo ir lejos, con su corta visión

And grew old, wanting to go far, with his short vision

Ojo que no mira más allá, no ayuda el pie

An eye that doesn't look beyond, the foot doesn't help

And grew old, wanting to go far, where he didn't reach
